Classes – Starts on the 27th July 2020. Bookings open up 4 days in advance of a class. For example, on Monday, bookings can be made for classes up to Friday.
Gym time – a bookings system will also be required for access to the gym. Bookings for gym time are the same as classes. They will open 4 days in advance. For example, on Monday, bookings can be made for gym time slots from Monday to Friday.
You’ll see on the Meridian Fitness App, gym time entry slots are available every 60 minutes. This is to make sure we can carefully manage member numbers and make social distancing a breeze.
All bookings can be made via the Meridian Fitness app. If you’ve not got it yet, make sure you download it. If you are having trouble with the app, please call us on 020 8469 1961 and we will do our best.
Shield guards have been installed at reception to provide protection for all members, guests and staff.
To ensure we keep staff and members safe, whilst also ensuring we can run a full deep clean while the club is closed, we have restricted the club hours on Monday to Friday to 06:00-22:00 and Saturday – Sunday to 08:00-20:00.
While not mandatory, our staff may be wearing face coverings.
We’ve doubled our cleaning hours to make sure there’s more regular cleaning of changing rooms, gym floor and studios.
Before even opening, our club will have been deep cleaned and fogged.
Between classes, every studio will be cleaned and sanitized ready for the next class.
Gym equipment will be cleaned regularly throughout the day and we ask that every member does their bit by wiping down equipment before and after use, with the biodegradable wipes provided. Numerous wipe down stations can be found around the gym.
We will be limiting the maximum capacity in the gym at any one time and the gym booking system will allow for a steady flow of entries and exits throughout the day. This will ensure we can keep a safe space between members.
Our class instructors will ensure social distancing is carried out at all times in classes.
There will be additional time between classes to minimise congestion and to allow time for our teams to deep clean and sanitise every studio.
If looking for a quieter time to train during gym time, it may be best to train during off peak hours.
There will be numerous hand sanitiser stations throughout the club, and we’ll make sure you can’t miss them. Biodegradable sanitising wipes will also be available for wiping down your equipment, kit and anything else that takes your fancy. In addition, we kindly ask that you wash your hands regularly.
To reduce any possibility of spread, towels will not be allowed on the gym floor. We encourage you to come to the gym changed where possible. Lockers will still be in use but please stick to social distancing in the changing room at all times.
We have revamped the steam/sauna area to make it more enjoyable and relaxing for members but for the moment the steam & sauna rooms will be out of action while we await further instructions from government as to when we can open these areas.
Some cardio & fixed weight equipment will be out of action to allow for social distancing. These will be clearly marked.
Towels will still be available from reception but these are only to be used in the changing rooms. They are not to be used on the gym floor or in studios.
There will be signage and floor markings across our clubs and studios to help guide everybody on social distancing. We’ll have additional team members on the gym floor too, to help with any questions you may have.
